Sharky Thomas is a Campaign Manager on Signal’s Digital team, overseeing the planning, execution, and optimization of paid digital campaigns and social media strategy on behalf of Signal’s clients.
A Native of South Africa, Sharky has worked across several digital advertising platforms representing coalitions, nonprofits, corporate organizations, arts & entertainment, education services, Healthcare, environmental organizations, and more. Her cross-platform experience includes creating awareness around advocacy issues while pushing for policy change.
Sharky Thomas’s critical thinking and creative planning skills make her adept at managing campaigns. She expands campaigns by leveraging analytics to guide digital ads and ad messaging. Sharky is constantly looking for new tools to position clients as thought leaders and industry experts while telling their stories.
Prior to joining Signal, she was a digital associate at Ceisler Media, a PR and Advocacy firm in Philadelphia, where she used her skills to work closely with the communications team and local Philadelphia city leaders to drive change for her clients. Before that, Sharky worked as the director of social media at EMME Solutions, a Philadelphia-based content branding, and strategy firm.
Sharky spent 2 years working in New York, where she developed her love for the digital space as an account manager and digital strategist at Path Interactive (Now Amsive Digital). She then coordinated business development and events for Self Help Africa, a nonprofit with the mission of empowering economic independence throughout Sub-Saharan Africa by helping rural communities improve their farms and livelihoods.
Sharky grew up in South Africa, attended high school in Mumbai, India, and graduated from the University of Cape Town with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She moved to New York in 2018, then Philadelphia in 2020, and she looks forward to making Washington, DC home in 2022.
