Sarah joins Signal after more than a decade on Capitol Hill, where she served as a trusted communications advisor and counselor to three prominent U.S. Senators. Sarah brings deep experience crafting strategic and crisis communication campaigns around complex policy, reputational risk, and political challenges in Washington, D.C. and across the country.
As communications director and senior advisor for U.S. Senator Jon Tester, Sarah served as top spokesman and media advisor, helping craft his message during some of the most contentious political fights of the past decade, including two presidential impeachment trials, a Supreme Court confirmation, the COVID-19 pandemic, and passage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Sarah led communications strategy to deliver bipartisan results across a broad array of portfolios including Tribal issues, veterans affairs, conservation & public lands, defense appropriations, and financial services. Sarah also served as an advisor to Tester’s Senate campaign—the most competitive in the country.
Sarah cut her teeth in the world of red-state Democrats as Communications Director for former U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill, and began her Capitol Hill career working for the late California Senator Dianne Feinstein.
Originally from Philadelphia, Sarah received a BA in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania and lives in Chevy Chase, Maryland with her family.
