WASHINGTON – Signal Group, a leader in modern public affairs, today launched Signal Outdoors – the first and only practice group to provide an integrated suite of services dedicated to the outdoor policy and communications space.
“Outdoor policy touches every community throughout the country and is a solution to many of the greatest challenges we face – from health and wellness to equity and the economy,” said Charles Cooper, Managing Director of Advocacy and Co-Chair of Signal Outdoors. “This is a really exciting time to be launching this dedicated practice to help our clients who are driving change and supporting these solutions.”
Signal Outdoors specializes in supporting clients who are active leaders in shaping the debate around policies related to public lands, conservation, recreation, sustainability, and climate change. With a bipartisan team that has decades of senior-level experience in conservation and outdoor recreation, Signal Outdoors represents the most trusted companies, coalitions, non-profits, and causes that are focused on expanding access, conservation, economic impact, and equity in the outdoors.
“We are just as comfortable navigating the halls of Congress as we are navigating backcountry wilderness of the most beautiful places on the planet,” said Blake Androff, Co-Chair of Signal Outdoors. “Signal Outdoors is uniquely positioned to help outdoor clients with a dedicated team of professionals who combine careers in Congress and federal service with a deep passion and love for the outdoors.”
Signal Outdoors will provide a suite of services to outdoors clients, including: government relations, strategic communications, digital, strategic advising, coalitions, regulatory and equity & inclusion.
“Signal Outdoors will serve as a one-stop shop for all parts of the outdoor community,” said Madeline Wade, Co-Chair of Signal Outdoors. “Elected officials make decisions based on a variety of different factors and where we have seen the most success in the outdoor policy space is when a thoughtful legislative effort is coupled with an aggressive and proactive strategic communications campaign and digital strategy. We are excited to provide all these services as one integrated offering.”
The practice group will be led by Co-Chairs Charles Cooper, Blake Androff and Madeline Wade, and will also include Patrice Willoughby, Managing Director & Head of Diversity and Inclusion; Rob Bole, Managing Director & Head of Digital; Mae Stevens, Executive Vice President; and Pooja Patel, Manager.
