Sarah Feldman was most recently Communications Director and Senior Advisor for U.S. Senator Jon Tester
Washington, D.C., November 21, 2025 – Signal Group, an integrated, independent public affairs firm in Washington, D.C., today announced the hiring of Sarah Feldman as Senior Vice President, an addition that will bolster the firm’s bipartisan evolving public affairs practice. Sarah joins Signal after more than a decade in senior high-stakes communications roles on Capitol Hill, including serving as a trusted communications advisor and counselor to three prominent U.S. Senators. Signal also welcomes Grace Smith as Manager and Mia Iannios as Associate.
"As we guide clients through this unprecedented moment in Washington and beyond, Signal is thrilled to welcome Sarah, who brings battle-tested communications, media, crisis and political expertise to our firm,” said Chelsea Koski, President of Signal Group. “In particular, Sarah’s experience leading communications strategy for red-state Capitol Hill offices and competitive Senate races is a testament to her across-the-board modern media skills, which can help our clients build bridges and achieve results.”
Sarah brings deep experience crafting strategic and crisis communication campaigns for complex policy, reputational risk and political challenges in Washington, D.C. and across the country. As the top spokesman and media advisor for Senator Tester, Sarah helped craft his message during some of the most contentious political fights of the past decade, including two presidential impeachment trials, a Supreme Court confirmation, the COVID-19 pandemic and the passage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Sarah led communications strategy to deliver bipartisan results across a broad array of portfolios including Tribal issues, veterans affairs, conservation and public lands, defense appropriations and financial services. Sarah also served as an advisor to Tester’s Senate campaign – the most competitive in the country.
“Sarah is among the best in the business and the person you want in your corner when tackling tough communication challenges or opportunities,” said former Senator Tester. “Signal’s clients are fortunate to get the kind of media savvy and wise counsel Sarah gave me over the last six years.”
Sarah cut her teeth in the world of red-state Democrats by serving as Communications Director for former U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill, and began her Capitol Hill career working for the late California Senator Dianne Feinstein.
“I’m thrilled to join Signal Group during this critical time in Washington, where smart, strategic communication can be the make-or-break solution to mitigate risk and deliver results,” said Feldman. “Signal is on the vanguard of these cutting-edge strategies, and I look forward to furthering the team’s success by guiding clients through today’s uncertain political landscape and tackling the media challenges and opportunities it presents.”
Signal also announced two hires to bolster the firm’s Outdoors and Health and Food Practice Groups. Grace Smith joins Signal as a Manager after serving as a speechwriter and public engagement manager for the Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and in the Biden White House. Mia Iannios joins Signal as an Associate following her graduation from The George Washington University and after spending the summer spending a semester in Signal’s internship program, joining a growing list of firm staffers that are former interns.
Earlier this year, Signal announced new hires in its Digital Practice, which continues to evolve with creative, analytics and AI-focused services. Additionally, Signal released its package of conservative media resources to help clients break through a fractured media environment and reach decisionmakers in the new Administration; see in POLITICO: SIGNAL GROUP DECODES CONSERVATIVE MEDIA.
