New Team Members

WASHINGTON, DC – January 23, 2019— Signal Group, a leader in strategic communications, public affairs, and government relations, today announced that it has hired Sarah Hamlett, Charlie Moskowitz, and Mae Stevens to the firm’s advocacy and government relations team. All three joined as Executive Vice Presidents and started in their new roles over the past few weeks.

Sarah Hamlett expands Signal’s growing healthcare practice, with a specialty in federal legislative advocacy and political strategy for corporations and trade associations. Sarah joins Signal from an independent government and public affairs firm that she founded. She previously served as Managing Director of Government Affairs for a boutique strategic communications and issue campaign firm and Director of Legislative and Political Affairs for Fortune 500 healthcare company DaVita, where she managed and implemented legislative strategies. Prior to her government affairs work, Sarah worked in the House of Representatives in legislative positions for several Republican Members of Congress.

Charlie Moskowitz has more than 12 years of experience working in the oversight, homeland security and international trade sectors. Most recently, he served as Chief Legislative Counsel for the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee and, prior to that, as counsel to its Subcommittee on Financial and Contracting Oversight. In addition to his committee experience, he worked as a legislative counsel to Senator Claire McCaskill and as an international trade and immigration attorney for Hogan & Harrison.

With more than 15 years of experience in the environmental and public policy arenas, Mae Stevens joins Signal from the office of Senator Ben Cardin, where she served as his senior advisor on infrastructure and the environment, including managing his responsibilities as Ranking Member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee of the Environment and Public Works Committee. She previously served as a Senior Legislative Assistant to Congressman Matt Cartwright and a Legislative Assistant to Congressman Russ Canahan. In addition to her experience on Capitol Hill, Mae has served as an advocate at a number of national environmental organizations.

“The addition of these three professionals illustrates Signal’s commitment to meet the needs of our clients in a dynamic policy environment,” said Jessica Rihani, SIGNAL’s Chief Operating Officer. “Sarah, Charlie, and Mae bring industry, regulatory, and policy leadership, combined with the expertise, networks, and drive to deliver outcomes on behalf of Signal’s diverse clients,” Rihani added.
