Next-Gen Jane

The Challenge

NextGen Jane (“Jane”) is a woman-led health startup focused on examining reproductive disease at the molecular level.  As a genomics company, Jane is data-driven and focused on changing the way women and people who menstruate engage with and access healthcare.

Jane engaged Signal Group in June 2019 following a successful panel presentation at the French Embassy focused on women’s health.  Given the range of health advocacy groups within Washington, D.C., Jane engaged Signal Group to identify key thought-leaders in women’s health to inform Jane’s focus on equity and elevate Jane’s Silicon Valley work within Washington, D.C.

The Solution

Signal Group convened stakeholders for a half-day discussion on policy, research, and political insights on women’s health advocacy.   The group included policymakers focused on health equity, veterans, federal researchers, and health advocates in disability, LGBTQ, cancer, clinicians in obstetrics/gynecology, and a minority-focused medical association of physicians.

Following the discussion, Signal Group formed an ongoing private electronic roundtable for meaningful engagement with Jane and the attending stakeholders to share information and ongoing discussions on women’s health, research, technology, and other topics advancing equity.
