AKCA

American Kitchen Cabinet Alliance

The AKCA is a coalition of organizations comprised of more than 50 member companies based across the United States, that have joined forces to fight for American kitchen cabinet workers and industry.

The Challenge

The American Kitchen Cabinet Alliance, a $10 billion industry was losing 40% market share and being negatively impacted by China dumping their products into the United States.

The Solution

Signal supported one of the largest trade cases ever filed against Chinese imports at the International Trade Commission. To support these efforts we undertook a proactive media relations program, hosted a media event with U.S. Senators at the National Press Club, launched a digital program, produced a video with voice over by Governor Mike Huckabee, published opinion editorial pieces and had our surrogates undertake national TV interviews.

In March 2020, the ITC ruled unanimously in our favor and imposed 269.91% antidumping and countervailing duties on Chinese kitchen cabinet imports. One of our CEO’s was interviewed on Fox Business following the historic ITC vote and we secured 30+ articles in top-tier outlets such as Bloomberg, CNBC, CQ Roll Call, Fox News, Reuters, Politico, and many more.
