Zach Shapiro Senior Associate

Zach leverages his background in writing and media relations to help a broad range of clients find their voice and reach the right audience. He enjoys the challenge of devising a targeted media engagement plan, formed through holistic and creative thinking, and seeing it advance the brand and/or goals of a good organization or company. A former intern at Signal Group, Zach rejoined the team in a full-time role in 2024 after honing his skills at another DC-based agency.

Before public affairs, Zach worked in sports communications and before that as a local reporter. Weaved in during these years were volunteering stints on campaigns and with activist organizations, a harbinger for his future career shift. Zach grew up in Florida and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Tampa, before completing a master’s in journalism at the University of Maryland.
