John is the Chair of Signal’s Communications practice.

With more than 15 years of global brand management, media relations, and crisis communications experience, John has successfully delivered on client initiatives in more than 25 countries on five continents in sectors ranging from health care to defense to IT.

John has unique expertise in international dispute communications that has supported the preservation or recovery of more than $4 billion in client revenue.

John’s client work has earned a Public Relations Society of America Bronze Anvil. His time with the U.S. mission in Iraq was recognized with a Department of Defense Joint Civilian Service Award for his work communicating the Coalition Provisional Authority’s and U.S. Embassy’s Iraq reconstruction efforts in Baghdad. John also managed the rebrand of security services contractor Blackwater, led crisis and litigation communications for global agribusiness on multiple continents, and has conducted media programs at global forums and multilateral trade summits.

John holds an international relations degree from The George Washington University and an Executive Education Certificate in Corporate Diplomacy from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
