The Hill noted them as “fixtures at this bipartisan public affairs firm, which represents a mixture of corporate and municipal clients.”

Signal Group is proud to announce that our own Rob Chamberlin and Sam Whitehorn have been named to The Hill’s 2017 Top Lobbyists: Hired Guns list for the second year in a row. Chamberlin and Whitehorn — both managing directors with SIGNAL—are part of our Government Relations team and our firm’s Executive Committee. Rob and Sam also head our Transportation and the Technology and Telecommunications groups.

The Hill noted them as “fixtures at this bipartisan public affairs firm, which represents a mixture of corporate and municipal clients.”

Prior to joining SIGNAL, Rob was Chief Counsel on the U.S. Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee under Chairman John McCain. There, he worked on issues around aviation, transportation, automobile safety, and telecommunications with the Department of Transportation, the Federal Aviation Administration, the Department of Homeland Security, the Commerce Department, and the White House. He spent time on similar issues at the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee working for then Chairman Bud Shuster. Rob was also named to The Hill’s top lobbyist list in 2015.

Before joining SIGNAL, Sam held several key positions on the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. During the 109th Congress, he served as the Deputy Staff Director and General Counsel to the full committee, where he addressed issues ranging from automobile and highway safety to data privacy, aviation, transportation, security, and pipeline policy. As the Senior Counsel and Staff Director to the Committee’s Aviation subcommittee for 14 years, Sam led the effort to craft the Aviation and Transportation Security Act (ATSA), which revamped our nation’s aviation and transportation security system after 9/11.

Congratulations to both gentlemen for their hard work and well-deserved recognition!
