With a dual passion for politics and the press, James works as an Associate on SIGNAL’s communications team where he brings an eye for detail and an unwavering focus to client initiatives. James previously worked with SIGNAL’s transportation, technology, and telecommunications advocacy practices.
James’ prior work in NBC’s newsroom, where he got the inside scoop on Capitol Hill, was a warm up to working with the communications and press team in the Office of Senator Mark Warner (D-VA). James undertook legislative research and analysis at FTI Government Affairs (formerly the C2 Group), and calibrated his strong government affairs skills in the commerce and trade office of the Embassy of Indonesia. James is also a former Fellow with the Institute for Education.
Originally from Fredericksburg, Virginia, James spent four years on a mountaintop in Sewanee, Tennessee, where he earned his B.A. in Politics from the University of the South.
